In Detail

The Midlands is at the centre of transport connectivity in the UK, providing the rest of the country with economic lifeblood by way of transporting and supplying people, goods, and materials.

Big things are happening in our region; we will be home to the country’s first ever inland Freeport and are in the process of pitching for the UK’s second Gigafactory focusing on battery technologies.

Transport links will grow exponentially with the creation of the HS2 rail link.

With such growth comes responsibility and we’ll explore what this means in terms of the sustainability of our region.

With speakers:

  • Robert Evans, CEO, Cenex. Robert Evans is CEO of Cenex (www.cenex.co.uk)
  • Hannah Leggatt ACA, Senior Environment Manager, HS2
  • Chancellor Jim O'Boyle, Coventry City Council Cabinet Member for Jobs, Regeneration, and Climate Change
